And as always, a Repair Depot is useful for keeping your defense force healthy. A few Soviet Tanks, V2 Rocket Launchers, and ground troops will harass you, so you may need to build Medium Tanks instead of extra Ore Trucks early in the game. Build your base as usual an Ore Refinery, War Factory, more Ore Trucks, and so forth. Use a single Ranger to scout the surrounding area. Deploy the MCV and array your forces in a defensive fan. You start at the northwest corner of the map with a small defensive force and an MCV. Have Tanya kill all the guards in the immediate vicinity, and then join the rest of your crew. This destroys two Flame Towers in the chamber to the south, freeing Tanya. Down the passage way they can activate a console. Send your Infantry through the southeast corridor, then south when it splits. Don t worry: The Coils won t harm your troops. They ll destroy the Tank, but unlike the previous Tesla Coil, they don t disappear afterward. The Spy will activate the console, causing two Tesla Coils to appear next to the Mammoth Tank. Have him stick to the northern part of the big room as he approaches the console, because an Attack Dog or two likes to emerge from the southern corridor. Send the Spy over to the console on the east wall of the chamber to the south.
From the chamber to the east, send them south until they can see a stationary Mammoth Tank in a big room. Shoot the Attack Dogs and infantry along the way. Now your Rifle Infantry waiting to the south should proceed north, and then slowly move east. Have your Infantry shoot the barrels to kill an approaching squad of enemy infantry.
Farther to the east there s a room full of explosive barrels. Send them slowly east, step by step, so they can deal with the Attack Dogs that greet them.
The remainder of your squad is free to proceed east. When the spy reaches the northwest alcove, the second of the two Flame Towers hindering your men s progress, explodes. Have the Spy immediately run to the alcove to the northwest: This must be done quickly, because a pair of guards and an Attack Dog soon arrive to investigate the Truck. In a moment, the Truck reappears to the east, where it stops and the Spy gets out. He ll automatically get in the Supply Truck and drive south, out of your field of view. Have your Spy infiltrate the War Factory. Also, a bit to the south, there s a War Factory with a Supply Truck parked out front. There are two Flame Towers here, and a Healing Crate amidst a pile of boxes. Now send the Spy to the chamber to the south. Again, have the Minelayer place at least five mines along the road to the north, starting where the road meets the edge of the map. Now send your Tanks north, near the field of gems and clear out any Soviets in the area. Lay at least five mines along the road near the edge of the map.
Start at the bottom and work your way north. Have them clear out any Soviet units, and then bring a Minelayer down and methodically mine the road. Repair any damaged Tanks, and then send a group of three or four Tanks south, where the road meets the edge of the map. Build about four Light Tanks and a Repair Depot. Use the Rocket Soldiers and Tank to help defend your base. Reinforcements will soon appear four Rocket Soldiers and a Light Tank. As you do this, direct your Ore Truck to collect the gems in the extreme northwest corner of the map. Then build a War Factory and produce several Light Tanks. Build a Power Plant and Ore Refinery, meanwhile arraying your troops in a defensive fan.
